All that glitters is not “BLESSING”..!

Let’s read Proverbs 13:07 & Proverbs 10:22 in tandem

One person pretends to be rich, yet has nothing; another pretends to be poor, yet has great WEALTH”.
“The BLESSING of the Lord brings WEALTH, without painful toil for it”.

“Are you BLESSED?”

If your answer is “yes”, then the next question is “What makes you think you are BLESSED?

Your answer may or may not include the following –

“God BLESSED me with a brand new smart-phone”
“God BLESSED me with a luxury car”
“God BLESSED me with gold”
“God BLESSED me with a highly paid and challenging job, which I always wanted”

If you call yourself “BLESSED” because of the essence in which the above statements are made, then you are neither BLESSED nor WEALTHY. You are simply fooled by Satan to misunderstand a “PROVISION” to be a “BLESSING”.

A “PROVISION” arises from a “need”. A “BLESSING” arises from a “want”. A “Need” is something we hope to get. A “Want” is something that we seek to get. Satan tries his best to swap these two over in our lives. When your “needs” become your “wants”, then all your “PROVISIONS” seem to be your “BLESSINGS” and you never seek the true “BLESSING”.

A classic example for this can be found in Genesis 22 – Abraham NEEDED a son in the most impossible of circumstances and God PROVIDED. Abraham’s NEED was met. But Abraham’s WANT was always to please God and that was his true BLESSING. This was proven when God tested Abraham to sacrifice his PROVISION (Isaac). Abraham believed that God was in total control and said “Jehovah Jireh - The Lord Will Provide”. And God did PROVIDE and a voice from heaven said Now I know that you fear God, because you have not withheld from me your son, your only son (your PROVISION)”. Abraham’s NEED was PROVIDED and his WANT was BLESSED.

Understand the difference between a “PROVISION” and a “BLESSING”. A “PROVISION” is to satisfy the outer-man and a “BLESSING” is to satisfy the inner-man (read Matthew Chapter 5 & Ephesians 3:16-19).

True “BLESSING” lies in your heavenly submission, not in your earthly possession..!
