Christ – The Heart of God..!!

Let’s read Colossians 1:15 & John 1:1 in tandem

“The Son is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation”.

“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God”.

How do we know God? What is the personality of God? How can we comprehend God with our human understanding? As a vivid answer to all these questions, God revealed himself to us through Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ is the very HEART of God. “The mouth speaks what the heart is full of” (Luke 6:45b). Out of the abundance of God’s heart came forth Jesus Christ…!

The living WORD of God that became flesh in the form of Jesus Christ dwelt amongst us. He came from God the Father, full of grace and truth (read John 1:14). If you know Jesus, you WILL know God.

From the very first book of the Bible to the very last you get to read many stories, songs, laws, instructions, genealogies, truths, mysteries and revelations. But in and through all of these you discover the beautiful persona of Jesus Christ. The Bible is the Biography of the Bios. “Bios” means “Life” in Greek. When you study the Word, meditate on it and wait on the Lord for a personal revelation, Christ who is the very heart of God is revealed unto you.

Christ is pure and holy. As followers of Christ we also need to have our hearts overflowing with His purity and His holiness. “Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me” (Psalm 51:10). Let us pray as the psalmist prayed and seek to be pure and holy by filling our hearts with the living WORD – Jesus Christ.
